📖 Guidelines & Values
One mission. Many circles.
🧮 With purpose. Built on structure.
circled.social exists to support responsible dialogue, shared learning, and meaningful participation.
We give signals, stories, and voices a structured public home — so conversations can develop into ideas, and ideas can grow into impact.
Some circles are public. Others are intentionally private or community-scoped. That is a structural choice defined by circle organisers and participants.
These guidelines define how we interact and how moderation works.
💬 Participation Principles
• Be constructive, respectful, and thoughtful.
• Disagree with ideas — not with people.
• Diverse perspectives and responsibly shared opinions are foundations of a tolerant and open society.
• Share updates with context, intention, and sources where appropriate.
• Listen openly, reflect carefully, and respond deliberately.
• Credit original work and cite reliable sources where relevant.
We are here to give our shared time meaning — not to waste it.
🚫 Content That Is Not Permitted
The following may be removed:
• Hate speech, harassment, or targeted attacks
• False, intentionally misleading, or harmful content
• Explicit or illegal material
• Spam, manipulation, or irrelevant advertising
Repeated violations may result in restricted participation or permanent bans.
Open dialogue is welcome. Personal attacks are not.
Moderation is not censorship.
Words and shared content carry impact — especially in digital spaces. When language is used to harm, manipulate, or divide, dialogue becomes impossible. Moderation exists to protect constructive exchange — not to suppress disagreement.
🌍 Shared Approach
circled.social values clarity over noise and collaboration over competition.
The goal is not to amplify reaction, but to support informed exchange across perspectives, contexts, and communities — locally and globally.
🛠️ Moderation & Responsibility
Moderation combines automated assistance and human review.
In spacial cases, content may be reviewed, moved, limited, or removed to maintain clarity, safety, and constructive dialogue.
Reports are handled with context and discretion. Serious violations may lead to permanent bans.
Advertising and promoted content are limited to designated modules and higher membership tiers. All promotional content remains subject to review and transparency standards.
Growth does not replace responsibility.
🌱 The Spirit of circled.social
We aim to create structured digital spaces where dialogue remains possible — even across disagreement.
Participation carries shared responsibility.
The quality of the space depends on the people who use it.
By participating, help keep interactions constructive, welcoming, and focused on meaningful exchange.
